Despite the 100 degrees temperatures, 41 boats come out to fish. The fishing was pretty tough for unders but there were three overs brought to the scales. When we were done, the team of Tommy Climer and Michael Yates won the day with a five fish limit that weighed 14.66 pounds and included the big bass of the tournament, an 8.88 monster.

Ray Hubbard Bass Club (RHBC) is always looking for more members. Whether you’re a beginner bass fisherman or a seasoned tournament veteran, we would love to have you come out and enjoy the fun.
• We’re a growing bass club
• Monthly tournaments are within a 75 mile radius of Lake Ray Hubbard
• Meetings are held at Bass Pro Shops Garland (on the patio) at 7:00 PM the Thursday before the tournament Saturday of each month
• Tournament days are usually on the 2nd Saturday of each month, unless otherwise noted
• Usually one 2-day tournament per year
• Fish from your own boat with a family member, friend, or other club member. Or “catch a ride” and make friends with one of our other boater members.

Tournament / Club Fees & Information:
• Club membership fee is $30/year per individual or per family (immediate family members only). $5 of each membership fee goes to our year-end classic fund.
• Tournament fee is $60 per team or individual.
• $10 of each tournament fee goes to our year-end classic fund
• $5 of each tournament fee goes to the RHBC general fund
• $10 of each tournament fee goes to the Big Bass fund
• Remaining $35 will be paid out in a 1 to 5 payout. Limited to 6 places.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Sep. 28)

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 80-82 degrees; 2.55 feet low. White bass are good and have moved shallow chasing small shad in 5-15 feet of water slow rolling in-line spinners, trolling tail spinners, or throwing topwaters early morning. Crappie are good on brush tops 12-17 feet of water and are starting to show up on the bridge columns biting minnows. Catfish are good drifting flats in 22-24 feet of water using cut bait.
